SnapAI
SnapAI is a revolutionary electronic takeoff solution that cuts existing electronic takeoff time nearly in half and improves accuracy. In the past, generic snap technology has enabled estimators to “snap to” points in a vector PDF, eliminating the need for an estimator to zoom into a drawing to find the most accurate corner or endpoint by hand. SnapAI takes this advancement even further by adding intelligence to vector takeoff by predicting what the estimator will do next and enabling point, logical line, and polyline selection for maximum flexibility.
True Database Structure
Some systems have no actual underlying database. They store all measurements in a series of small files spread throughout the project folders. The more measurements you take off, the more performance suffers. It’s also a backup and integrity nightmare. Dimension’s Database engine is small and fast…eTakeoff immediately stores all measurements in its Database as you perform takeoff. And as you grow, the Database grows with you. There’s no need to later switch to a larger SQL engine with the ensuing conversion headaches and ongoing maintenance.
Database Security
Without database security, any estimator can modify your Standard Library of Measurement types, Scales, Bid Codes, Layers, WBS codes, etc. Many large construction organizations require some method to maintain data integrity so users don’t make changes to critical elements of the Estimating process. Dimension Premier’s Database Security will ensure that only those users who have Administrative privileges will be able to make “across-the-board” changes. Temporary passwords can be generated for those times that individual estimators need Database access.
No Need To Convert Most PDF Files
Many older systems require you to convert PDF files into their system’s native TIF file format before you can begin any work in the project. A typical project with 100 PDF drawings can delay you as much as 15-20 minutes to perform that conversion! eTakeoff reads PDF files without conversion – with eTakeoff you’ll create your project and be working with your PDF drawings in seconds.
True Multi-User Technology

Work Breakdowns
Work breakdowns can be used to add attributes such as part numbers, location, etc. to measurements. An unlimited number of work breakdown categories can be defined (part number, location, etc.). Values for each category can then be applied to measurements. In addition, the Filter function will allow the estimator to display or hide only those measurements that contain the selected WBS codes.
