Extension calculates the surface area of a round reducer

A simple extension calculates the surface area of a round duct reducer. The length of reducer is digitized on the drawing. The radius at each end is entered. The square foot surface area of the reducer is calculated. Click here for an overview of how extensions work

Extension calculates the area of a rectangular reducer

A simple extension calculates the surface area of a rectangular duct reducer. The length of reducer is digitized on the drawing. The height and width at each end is entered. The square foot surface area of the reducer is calculated. The description for the measurement is automatically updated to reflect the size. Click here for […]

Extension calculates and lays out joists

Joist extensions offer special powerful features. The area to be covered is digitized. The joist spacing and joist width are entered. The length rounding is selected from a list. A pitch can be specified for sloped joists such as roofs. You can then: Rotate the joist orientation to any angle Move the starting point for […]

Extension easily calculates mulch or gravel volume

A simple extension can be used to calculate the volume of rock, mulch or other ground cover for irregular shaped areas. You can digitize the perimeter using individual points and/or by quickly generating arcs. Then input the material depth and the cubic yards of material is calculated. The enclosed area is also available if needed. […]

Extension calculate framing and drywall from one measurement

A simple extension calculates the track distance, stud count and drywall sheet count from a single measurement.  The wall is digitized in a plan view.  The wall height, stud spacing and drywall sides are entered.  The drywall sheet size is selected from a list.  Track distance, stud count, drywall square feet and drywall sheet count are […]

Extension calculates hip / valley lengths

A simple extension calculate hip/valley length.  The hip or valley is digitized.  The run is entered (it defaults to 12).  Then the rise is entered for each side.  If the second rise is the same as the first it doesn’t need to be entered. Click here for an overview of how extensions work

Extension supports conduit runs with multiple wires and drops

A simple extension allows entry of the number of wires, the number of drops and the drop length.  The total wire length is the digitized length plus the total drop length all multiplied by the number of wires. Click here for an overview of how extensions work

Extension allows wire runs with individual riser lengths

For wire runs with differing drop lengths, the Riser extension can be used. This allows you to enter the drop length for each point. The lengths are displayed on the drawing. The variable LenWithRisers gives the total of the digitized length plus the riser lengths. Click here for an overview of how extensions work

Extension allows computation of tile counts

Ceiling or floor tile can be easily taken off using eTakeoff’s “Grid” extension. Grid extensions let you specify the size of the tile (GSHeight and GSWidth in the screen shot below). You can move or rotate the grid for the most efficient layout. The number of full (FullCnt) and partial (PartCnt) tiles are computed automatically. […]
