Pattern Search Toolbar

The Pattern Search Toolbar is for the search pattern capabilities described in the Pattern Search Overview. It can be displayed or hidden using “View/Pattern Search Toolbar” from the Main Menu or by right-clicking in the toolbar area.

Start or Continue a Pattern Search

This button can be pressed to start a pattern search. When Reviewing a Pattern Search on the drawing, you can press this button to return to the Pattern Search Review Window.

Add Pattern Search Rectangle Annotation

This button can be pressed to create a pattern search rectangle annotation. These annotations define a specific area to be searched during a pattern search. When you press the button, a description edit window will be displayed to enter the name of the search area. The description will appear in the Search Area drop-down list in the Pattern Search Edit Window. After entering the description, click on two opposing corners of the desired rectangle, just as you would with a rectangle annotation.

Add Pattern Search Polygon Annotation

This button can be pressed to create a pattern search polygon annotation. These annotations define a specific area to be searched during a pattern search. When you press the button, a description edit window will be displayed to enter the name of the search area. The description will appear in the Search Area drop-down list in the Pattern Search Edit Window. After entering the description, click on the points defining the outline of the polygon, just as you would with a line annotation.

Show/Hide Pattern Search Annotations

When this button is checked, rectangle and polygon pattern search rectangles will be visible. When it isn’t checked they will be hidden.
