  • Bridge 2.19 also requires .NET Framework 4.6.2
    • The Sage SQL installation includes .NET 4.6.2 as part of the installation process.
    • Also, .NET 4.6.2 is included in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update Edition and Windows Server 2016 and may be installed on other OS versions (Windows 8.1 & Windows 7 SP1)

  • REMINDER: If performing any updates/changes to Sage Estimating, be certain to install/reinstall Bridge AFTER the Sage update.
    • If the Navisworks Integrator is already installed, that installation will be unaffected.
  • If you are using Sage Pervasive Estimating, have created Mapping Histories in Bridge AND will be migrating your Pervasive Databases to SQL, there is a document outlining how you may copy your Pervasive Bridge Mapping History to create new matching mappings for your migrated Sage SQL database.

The 2.19.16.300 release contains the following enhancements and changes.

1. Sage SQL 17.11 is no longer supported
   This version of Bridge is dropping support for Sage SQL 17.11 Estimating since Sage no longer supports that version.


2. You can now delete individual items in the Estimate Detail Window.
   After dropping multiple items into the Estimate Detail Window, there was no way to delete an incorrect item. You can now right click and use the context menu option to delete the item.


3. New Project Backup/Restore/Copy feature.
   Three new functions have been added to the Backup Bridge Menu:
   • Backup Project
     
   • Restore Project
     
   • Copy Project
   
   The Project Backup and Restore functions are designed to create a unique archival backup zip file that reflects the status of the entire takeoff/estimate project at that time. The backup will contain all necessary Dimension, Bridge & Sage files for archiving and later restoration of the project. The entire project can be later restored with a new name and will be available as a completely independent version of the project which can be run in parallel with the existing project. The Copy Project function is essentially the same as the Backup, but instead of creating an archival file, a completely new version of the takeoff/bridge/estimate project is instantly available without affecting the current project. Instructions for use of these features are included in the appropriate Dialog boxes.
   
   Note - DO NOT USE the Dimension Project Backup or the Sage Estimate Backup functions for archival purposes as these will destroy the Bridge links to the Takeoff and Estimate files when later restored.
   
   Note that at the current time the new backup process will only support backing up a single Bridge project. If you have multiple estimators sharing a single Dimension Project, but each has their own Bridge and Estimate. then there is a temporary workaround for utilizing this feature:
   1 – Ensure no one is using the Dimension project or any of the Bridges/Estimates.
   2 – Back up each individual Bridge project using the Backup Project function. This will include a copy of the Dimension project for each Bridge project that is backed up.
   3 – When restoring the projects, after each project is restored, DELETE the entire Dimension Project
   4 – After the FINAL project is restored, DO NOT delete that restored Dimension Project.
   
   
   In a future release we plan to include the ability to automatically back up multi-user projects.
   
   
4. Dimension Trace Utility - Clear Export Selections
   There is now a right-click context menu option (CLEAR SELECTED) when the cursor is place in the EXPORT column header. This option will enable you to clear all the Export checkmarks from the displayed items. If you wish to clear ALL the items in either the item or assemblies list, position the cursor on the ALL level, then click this function.
   


5. Dimension Trace Utility - Export DETAIL WBS codes
   The Trace Utility will now export both Takeoff and Detail type WBS codes to Dimension.


6. Dimension Trace Utility - Auto Mapping global variables
   The Auto Mapping Dialog in the Preferences menu has been enhanced to include mapping global Sage variables. If you use Sage variables that are consistent across formulas/items/assemblies, then you can also pre-map those variables in the Auto Map dialog. There’s a new “add variable” field that allows you to add individual variables from the Sage variable list and map it with any of the takeoff attributes. This will then use that mapping as a default for any items in the Trace list. See the tooltip in the Auto Mapping dialog for instructions.
   


7. Miscellaneous bug fixes
